Groundbreaking today for Phase 2… Bethlehem SkatePlaza

June 1st, 2012

Mayor Callahan today addressed all of us the great use the plaza has been and Phase 2 start…

he also used the word SHRED today… to me, that was awesome.

and the start of this 150 day attempt to expand…

The action didn’t stop at the plaza …

Bubba was so psyched about today, he showed us his new stretching techniques .

He just had back surgery early on this year, and this was a huge stoke for all of us…

Make sure to follow Homebase Skateshop for all the news about the Plaza and cool stuff in the 610…

let’s go to Reading…

May 21st, 2012

this kid in the shorts said he owned the building. he said kids do cool shit at this spot. so did Alan.

Chet showed me  his favorite laundromat. i can see why…

Ben Franklin pointed us in the right direction . after we skated this for a bit.

and you will have to see how this came about on that VX2000. film’n tricks and then cool’n down…

probably the sickest line i filmed all year… you’ll see.

you guys know where a shitty bank to fence is? take us… alan with a pole jam 80’s thingy…

and as we exit the good ol’ city, we hit this up. i been thinking about it for years…

i feel like we will be going to Reading a bit more often…

thanks for the tour guide duties, Chet , Ian and Mondo… High Fives all around…

NEXT WEEK IS HUGE…

May 18th, 2012

Next week we celebrate Homebase having it’s doors open for the 610 for 10 years.

For most places, that is a huge achievement and why wouldn’t you celebrate?

Start prepping because next week, we all are raising our glasses ( or cans of PEPSI)

Mia and Jake are rad little duders…

May 14th, 2012

Mia and Jake are some cool kids. They are are at  punk shows and now, they have made it to models

for the new lost soul line.

Max Zahradnik and I did this photo shoot with all the radness of their mom, Yvonne Haddock.

Yvonne is at many shows and supports everything that is diy and when i asked her about this idea,

she was super cool and willing to help out.

I think this is the best that lost soul has ever looked.

If anyone knows how lost soul operates, we make small pressings of decks because we just do.

There are no financial backers , so scoop one of these decks up before they are gone.

Skateshops…. We love to talk and set you up with this new line.

Andy V checking in…

May 7th, 2012

Hey Ray, here’s three pictures from today in the usual bad camera phone quality I have pictures in.

We’re just starting a project that will be shown at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC in a few months. It’s a pretty exciting project (the details I can’t give at this time) and it’s also exciting to me because it’ll be shown in the States, unlike most of Nacho’s work, which stays here in Europe.

What I can say, is that it involves a lot of these branches. Here I’m shown stripping the bark off of one in the photos. That’s what I was up to all day today. Repetitive, mindless work, that’s not so common here, but I was enjoying it today. Besides, it gave me a lot of time to think about the work some friends and I will be doing to the spot I’m sending you a photo of too. More photos of work and skating soon to come.
